Upper Glanmire Community Association AGM

By Claire O'Donoghue

The Upper Glanmire Community Association will hold their AGM on Wednesday, January 23 at 8pm in the Community Hall. Everyone is welcome and strongly encouraged to attend. Committee PRO Rob Kenny told The East Cork Journal, “We have between 600-700 households in the catchment area, spread over 19 townlands. There are many demographics in the Upper Glanmire area that can be represented on our local Community Association. We're hopeful for a large and diverse turnout who will want to get involved and see the future local community carry on resourceful, current and above all locally beneficial services.”

The Upper Glanmire Community Association looks after many worthwhile endeavours including organising the St. Patrick's Day Parade, local clean ups, Santa for the children at Christmas and many other activities. Rob said, “We have the Agenda set, which includes the Chairman's Address, Financial Report, Election of Committee members and other matters for discussion. We hope to see you all there.”
