Youghal Astronomy Club Host “SNAP-CHAT” in Youghal Library

by Denise FitzGerald

Speaker Leah Burgess pictured before the event with membres of Youghal Astronomy Club.

Leah Burgess joined a very interested audience in Youghal Library last week to talk about photographing The Aurora from County Waterford "which", she assured everyone, "would be every bit as good if photographed from County Cork!"
In a quick interview with The East Cork Journal prior to starting, Leah said she would be talking about Solar Winds, understanding the Aurora and, of course, how to take photographs and when to take them.
A video display of spectacular pictures taken by Leah from the Vee entitled 'Night Scape' were superb, and she explained in detail how to successfully photograph at night and the participants, some of whom had brought along their cameras, were delighted with the advice and tips given by this very talented photographer.
Well done, Youghal Astronomy Club, for your initiative in organising this event.
