Parents Together in Autism pictured at their Bag Packing fundraiser with happy customers

Parents Together in Autism is an active, voluntary group of parents in the Youghal area with children on the Autistic Spectrum. Formed some years ago they aim, through fundraising events, to improve services for children with Autism.
Speaking with The East Cork Journal on Saturday last in Tesco Youghal, where the parents were bag packing to help raise funds, Andrea and Carmel said they organise a wide range of lifestyle and interactive activities in the local areas and aim to connect parents of children with Autism. "We organise simple play days, group sessions, cookery classes, arts and crafts, we facilitate one on one assessments and group therapies and aim to accommodate all age groups and genders". They went on to say that a big part of their activities is to educate and help parents through a library resource, seminars and talks.
They thanked Tesco for hosting their fundraising Bag Pack, and the people of the Youghal, East Cork and West Waterford areas for their generosity on the day.
